Roseanne Henlon came to University of Toronto Scarborough to get her Bachelor of Science degree, but the community gave her much more than that. Not only has Scarborough become home, it is also the place where she built her career as a matchmaker.
Not your typical matchmaker, Roseanne is a certified career development practitioner who is the bridge that connects clients with employers. She helps her clients with job searches, resume writing and interview strategies to prepare them for the job market.
“I enjoy puzzles, and problem solving. I get to see what the client has, what the employers wants and if they would be a good fit for one another.”
When Roseanne isn’t helping her clients build their careers you can find her volunteering as a Spelling Bee Canada Coach and as the co-chair of the Jamaican Canadian Association.
“To me volunteering is like breathing- not doing it would seem foreign. Giving back and helping others is really important for all of us to move forward.”
