Dr. Jennifer McKelvie, a Scarborough resident since the age of six, is an environmental geoscientist and innovative research director who travels to some of the most stunning places in the world – so it’s a great point of pride that her passion for Scarborough’s own natural assets and beauty has only strengthened.
“Scarborough is rich in green spaces to enjoy together. I can’t help but smile every time I see kids out playing, couples strolling holding hands, and friends running together.”
The Chair of the Rotary-grandfathered non-profit group, Scarborough Community Renewal Organization (SCRO) and President of the Centennial Community and Recreation Association, Jennifer has become the face of the revitalization and development strategy in Scarborough buzzed about in Toronto’s media. She gifted Mayor John Tory with a shirt reading “Manhattan. Knightsbridge. The Left Bank. Scarborough” at the successful first Annual General Meeting of SCRO, so we are assured that this energetic mother of two has a vision for Scarborough’s future that is ambitious and inspiring.
